Here's what you need to do.

Once you've Joined and visited the Forums to read the notices, we need you to recruit more people. Try to sign up everyone you know, throughout the US. We need lots of people in lots of cities, so even if everyone you know is in only a couple of towns, we still need lots of eyes everywhere.

You might think you're diluting your chances of winning for yourself, but really, the odds of any single person being the one who finds a balloon are so low that we all benefit from having lots of Seekers. Remember, even if someone else finds the balloons, you still get to share in the Seeker's pool prize.

We're all going to be very busy on Balloon-Day (B-Day), Saturday Dec 5th.

On Friday Dec 4th (we'll call it A-Day), we are going to have a dry-run or dress-rehearsal. We want our Seekers to go out, look around, take a couple of pictures and try out the submission process. This way, we work out the bugs in the process before it's critical and we can improve our system.

In order to be considered a participating Seeker on B-Day (and be eligible for the Seeker's Pool Prize), you MUST file a Status Report, even if you don't find a balloon. This way we know people aren't just slacking off and are out working to win the prize. The balloons will go on display at 10am Eastern Time (8am Mountain, 7am Pacific) and will stay up until 4pm local time, so the sooner you're out looking, the better chance you have of being the first to find a balloon!

On B-Day, anyone finding a balloon needs to submit good evidence. We know teams are going to be trying to confuse and distract other teams, so we are requiring a digital photo for proof. A cameraphone picture is just fine. You can either file a Sighting Report (with an attached photo) through our web site, or you can send your report by e-mail with an attached image to our reports hotline e-mail address (check here on A-day to get the correct address). You'll need to ensure your e-mail contains your Team DeciNena username so we know who to give credit to.

After B-Day, if we have won, we'll need you to come back to the site and indicate to us if you want your prize issued as cash, or donated to the Team Charity.
